Product Description

Properties of lead: Lead is a silvery-white heavy metal with a bluish tint. Its melting point is 327.502°C, its boiling point is 1740°C, its density is 11.3437 grams per cubic centimeter, and it is soft with low tensile strength.
Uses of lead: Due to its high density, excellent corrosion resistance, low melting point, softness, and ease of processing, lead is widely used in many industrial fields. Lead plates and lead pipes are widely used in the acid industry, batteries, cable sheaths, and anti-corrosion linings of metallurgical industrial equipment. Lead can absorb radioactive rays and can be used as a protective material for atomic energy industries and X-ray instrument equipment. Lead can be alloyed with antimony, tin, and bismuth to form various alloys, such as fuse wires, printing alloys, wear-resistant bearing alloys, solder, fusible alloys, and low-melting-point alloy molds. Lead's compounds, tetraethyl lead, can be used as anti-knock additives for gasoline and pigments. It can also be used as sound insulation materials in the construction industry and shock-absorbing materials in equipment.
Production process of lead: 1# electrolytic lead ingots are melted (about 3 tons at a time) for purification, then injected and cooled to form lead rods, which are then processed into lead wires using large lath machines, and the lead wires are wound and packaged by workers.
